The administrator said "No, there are no vacant rooms", they had 2 wings that were empty and hospice was providing a 24 hour nurse. Do not send a love one here, it looks nice and they give a great sales speech but they lie. My Mother is handicapped and has multiple medical issues. Many of the Caretakers are just there temporarily to get the bonus money and leave after 3 months.
My elderly father was here for a couple weeks as part of their cardiac rehab unit. He was inspired to work hard, and improved beyond what any of his doctors thought possible. Skilled Nursing/Rehab
Memory care communities or wings keep older adults with Alzheimer's/dementia safe from wandering while also offering specialized care to help relieve anxiety and slow cognitive decline. As far as nursing home scale, I guess Estrella Oaks Rehab is okay. I’m very comfortable about the care, but he does not want to be there. We’re satisfied with the people who work there, and we’re satisfied with the facility. Our inter-disciplinary team of therapists works with you to create a recuperation plan that is timely and achievable.
Estrella Oaks is seriously under-staffed, employees are over-worked, patients are not bathed or cared for in a normal way, or treated with dignity. The Wesleyan’s restorative philosophy of nursing promotes each resident’s resilience and ability to live as independently as possible, in addition to recovering from specific health challenges. County Office is not affiliated with any government agency.

There have been some difficulties with Estrella Oaks. My brother complains about the food all the time. I have sent a letter to them in November, and I never got a reply. His roommate was put on the floor to die literally. He had fallen out of his bed a couple of times, and he was under hospice care. So they took his bed out of the room and put him on the floor.

My family and I will definitely be considering sending our mother here, rather than keeping her in home health care. Wesleyan Nursing Home, located in Georgetown, TX, is a residential facility for older adults who require daily care assistance. The Assisted Living facility provides nursing and elderly care, help with household chores, transportation, and support for daily activities. My mother was placed at Estrella Oaks at my request as she was recovering from a fall. When I arrived for my care conference, I met with the administration. They began the conference by telling me I should have received a call because my mother had tried to leave the facility.

Administration will never give you a callback and the Administrator changes every three months. Definitely understaffed but the caretakers are found standing in the halls laughing and chatting, not answering the lights. Before I moved my Mother out of there, she was told numerous times that there was no hot water or clean towels and she could not have a shower. Food was never served in a timely manner and was cold and unappetizing and unappealing. Aids were often disrespectful to the patients and the patients were scared to report to the authorities for fear of retaliation. Patients were told not to push the button for help all the time.
DO NOT SEND YOUR RELATIVES TO THIS PLACE. STAY FAR AWAY! Nothing positive stated in a review could come close to the truth of matters as I was there almost every day. Nurse practitioners are worthless and want to keep patients drugged so that patients are no bother to the CNAs who are understaffed. They are unconcerned if a patient is experiencing a long list of side effects from medications. No matter what health condition your loved one has, they serve the same food to everyone. So if a person is diabetic, they are served foods high in starch and high in sugar.
